BAPTISM

We have several Baptisms and Blessings in the Church over the next few Months.

It's great to see new Souls being brought to The Lord.  If parents are willing,  a photograph will be uploaded to this site.

SHOEBOX APPEAL

Aileen Smith has launched her annual Christmas Shoebox appeal on behalf of Blythswod Care.

A list of items to be included in each box (see picture) will be provided for anyone who wishes to take part in this essential collection.

Filled boxes can be handed in to the Church hall when it is open, or brought to Sunday service, whenever they are ready.  If possible, please cover the box in Christmas wrap ensuring the lid can still be opened/removed.   Many thanks.   All boxes are required  for no later than Sunday 5 November 2017.

KIRK SESSION MEETINGS

An extrodinary meeting of Kirk Sessions from Caler and Old Monkland, will be held at 7pm on Tuesday 31 October 2017, within Calder Church.  This is a crucial meeting and as many Elders as possible are urged to attend as a discussion will be held in relation to the Minister Vacancy.

The next regular Kirk Session meeting will be held on Wednesday 15 November at 7pm.

These meetings are extremely important,  and members are encouraged to attend.

WINTER'S AFTERNOON TEA

This will be held in our Church Hall on Saturday 25 November from 1pm - 3 pm.  A tea of a selection sandwiches and cakes together with tea or coffee will be served.   It is a wonderful chance to meet up for a chat and friendship.   Cost is £5 each, and tickets are now available from Aileen.   Please note this is open to ANYONE,  church attenders or not,  so let your friends and family know and you can get tickets for them.

One helpful approach is to take as little as five minutes in your day to pray. Each minute is spent on one of the words your parents were always trying to get you to say:

Hello.

Sorry.

Thank you.

Please.

Goodbye.
