Many thanks to all those who have, and who continue to contribute wool, money and time to this project.

Knitting for HIV Babies

As you must be aware, given the amount of bags brought to and taken from the church on a Sunday, that the project of knitting tops & blankets for babies born with HIV is still going strong.
To date, the number of tops delivered for distribution is 2572 with more ready to go.
This grand total has been achieved not only through the ladies of our own congregation but also from  churches in Calderbank, Chapelhall & Wishaw.  There have so been donations via Margaret Muir, the Guild Convenor, from Guilds throughout the area.
Many thanks go to all who have contributed their time & effort to this project.  Many thanks also to those who have donated wool and given monetary donations to allow us to purchase wool for the knitters.
This is an ongoing project and all the knitted goods are gratefully received so, like they say on Strictly, "Keep Knitting"

Tea in the Pink raised £539.

We would like to thank everyone who made Tea in the Pink last Saturday such a roaring success. Thanks to all those who supplied baking, provided sandwiches and decorations for the hall and tables or helped in any other way.

Thanks also to all those who entered into the spirit by wearing pink and a special thanks to the fourteen who didn’t wear pink but paid a forfeit.

The pastoral care group have still to discuss how the £539 raised will be spent.

Our thoughts are to try to do something for those members of the congregation who are no longer able to attend Church services or social occasions. We hope also to do something for those in Carnbroe Care Home.

Thanks again to all those who contributed to the success of Tea in the Pink.
